Fire and Water Damage Restoration in York County

Fire Damage Restoration Services
ServiceMaster Clean® is a highly reputable, licensed, insured, and endorsed provider of fire restoration and smoke damage services. In addition to our years of experience, our certified Restoration Technicians have completed advanced training in fire restoration systems, mitigation, and corrosion control. We also require continuing education for our team members to learn more about new technologies and equipment to better serve you in your time of need.

During a fire, smoke is created by flames and driven by heat, and no matter where the fire originates, smoke may permeate throughout a building’s structure. Smoke also causes a problem when combined with humidity, which can form corrosive residues that may cause secondary fire damage. Long after the fire is out, the damage can continue, as remaining free-floating smoke settles into air ducts, as well as on horizontal surfaces and contents.

At ServiceMaster Clean, our goal is to restore your property quickly and efficiently by handling smoke removal and fire damage in York County. Depending on the source, size, and nature of the fire damage, multiple phases of cleaning and restoration may be required.  We understand that as a business owner, you deserve clear and thorough communication throughout this process and we will give our full cooperation to both you and your insurance claims representative.

Water Damage Restoration Services
ServiceMaster Clean is a highly reputable, insured, licensed, and endorsed water damage service provider. Our certified technicians have completed advanced training in water mitigation, dehumidification systems, and corrosion control. They also continuously seek further education and training to learn more about new water restoration techniques and equipment to better serve your water removal needs.

During a flood, water typically spreads out and flows toward a path of least resistance, such as to substructures and lower floors. Porous materials—whether wood, sheetrock, or other building materials—will soak up the water and cause further water damage to the foundation. The resulting effects can include discoloration, swelling, warping, broken adhesive bonds, flooring separation (or delamination), and an overall breakdown of building materials that make up your business’ property. The longer the water damage sits before treatment, the greater the effect it has. Even if the water evaporated unassisted, it can cause further damage to walls, ceilings, and contents.

ServiceMaster Clean’s drying process includes 3 phases:

Phase 1: Emergency Service

  • Our technicians will inspect the affected areas and determine if the carpet is salvageable
  • High velocity air movers and dehumidifiers are set up to dry carpet and subfloors
  • Carpet is treated for microbial growth
  • If carpets are unsalvageable, our technicians will advise the removing of pads and the carpet

Phase 2: Reinstallation and Cleaning

  • If the carpet can be restored, new pads are installed followed by the carpet
  • Carpet is cleaned and deodorized
  • Any affected upholstery and other damaged furnishings are cleaned
  • Drying equipment is removed if still present

Phase 3: Structural Repairs

  • If applicable, structural damage is assessed
  • Drywall, ceiling, and floors are repaired
  • If appropriate, structural repairs are completed before reinstallation and cleaning

Although this may be your first disaster, this is a process that ServiceMaster Clean has done millions of times. Years of experience in returning businesses back to normal, makes us the best choice for emergency services.
